Several mobility models and tools are proposed for the generation of traffic pattern. The mobility model is designed to describe the movement pattern of mobile users, and how their location, velocity and acceleration change over time.

Mobility models are usually classified into macroscopic mobility model (Random mobility model, Gauss morkev model, Mobility model generation tool; such as SUMO, MOVE) and Microscopic mobility models ( VANETMOBISIM is a tool that generates realistic vehicular movement )
