Is there any method to increase the surface tension of Copper chloride solution?

I am working on monolayer MOF synthesis and I don't have LB trough to vary the surface pressure. I want to exploit surface tension property to restrict Ligand molecules from dispersing or move the small MOF domains to stick together and form a stitched structure. I am not sure if it will work or not. Please comment if you have any ideas on the same!
