I have been using column chromatography for the purification of biosurfactants but it is very time consuming and I also want to use another method for purifying compounds. So, please suggest any alternative ways of purifying biosurfactants.
you can use the classical methods for purification like solvent extraction, some times you can solve big problem by simple methods. I don't know which type of biosurfacant u deal with but generally the main principle related with polarity concept.
whatever is the biosurfactant, purification starts from the basics of chromatography...after solvent extraction the product obtained is crude and cannot be used for NMR and IR studies...to get NMR and IR of a compound you need to have single components and these can be obtained by some chromatographic techniques..in this step I want an alternate...can you suggest now, how can i get single components for the NMR and IR studies?
