Is there any material which changes into liquid state when given certain vibration such as earthquake? As we know that when we vibrate saturated sand, liquefaction takes places and the sandy soil totally liquefies. Anything above it will act as a floating structure at that time.
Is there any other material that can be synthesized or is available that will liquify when vibrated? In normal state it should be rigid. When vibrated it should be liquid.

as far as i am concerned, Thixotropy is increasing viscosity with increasing "Straining time" but Dilatant behavior is increasing viscosity with increasing "strain rate".
A Stabilized colloid-like stuff may be suited for construction purpose.
If you mean liquifying instantly thixotropic materials come to mind (as Federico already responded). If you mean liquifying after short focused vibration (under pressure) as in ultra-sonic or vibration welding also many plastics could be worth a look.
