What literature references should I utilize to better educate myself on Beta-Cell strain and ratios/markers that best characterize the status of the same?
In a clinical setting, we would like to use the DPMP/Health Diag. Lab to help determine how/when to initiate a DPP4 & when a more effective incretin/GLP-1 should be utilized.

After reading your article (very nice, by the way), there might be many points of discussion and exchange of experiences possible (we are using the proinsulin ratios for more than 15 years) even if they are not completely validated. Yes as far as its ratio with Insulin it is avaiable 1:5 is the best ratio that works.
