I am particularly looking for the list of migratory butterflies. I understand that it possible to find out by cross-checking thousands of literature, but it will take lots of time. Hence I am wondering whether there is any reliable data resource where I can find the list of migratory butterflies!

I don't think there is anything comprehensive and recent, but the following historical documents are a good starting point:

In Germany there is an organization called 'Deutsche Forschungszentrale für Schmetterlingswanderungen (DFZS)' (German Research Centre for Butterfly Migrations). There is a yearly summary covering migrating butterflies in Europe published in the journal ATALANTA.
It depends how you define "migration" (seasonal as in birds or you may include mass movement), there is a list and discussion in one of Torben Larsen's African butterfly books.
The Flemish Entomological society publishes each year in the journal PHEGEA a report on the migratory Lepidoptera in Belgium and The Netherlands. It is in Dutch but there is an abridged version at the end of the publication (in English and French). Here below you can find the link to the report of 2014.
