GPVI is a glycoprotein receptor for collagen which is expressed in platelets. I would like to know if there is any GPVI inhibitor currently being used in humans? If not, is there any commercially available inhibitor?
To my best knowledge, Revacept, a dimeric GPVI-Fc fusion protein, which blocks collagen/GPVI binding mediated platelet activation, is the only one in clinical trial and used in human now.
Emodin and its glycoside Frangulin B which is extracted from a plant Rhamnus formosana has been reported to inhibit collagen-induced platelet aggregation.
I agree with Wei Li,Revacept which blocks collagen mediated platelet activation,is probably the only one in clinical trial and used in human now,at least at this time.
