I know about several evaluations of apple cultivars for bacterial canker (P. syringae) reaction, like http://link.springer.com/article/10.1023/A:1008652931035. The results were not optimistic. Is there any bacterial canker-resistant apple cultivars or plant breeding programs?

We have permitted only biologic bactericides and copper -based fungicides against pseudomonads. Several new chemicals are been testing for second year (including kasumin of Arista Co.) but, I cannot say now about their efficiency. You always can use copper with some old fungicides (like mankozeb) - a few bacteria have tolerance to such mix.
