I am basically looking for a free or limited functionality in a software that enables me merge, remove a page and convert a PDF file to word and back. Does anyone have suggestions? I have appreciations!
That is a good option. I was looking for something that doesn't want you to upload or send file. I want a program that can be installed, if there is any. I will continue looking for one.
Adnan Majeed if you use online editors data protection is on stake. With an off-line tool you can take some simple measure like to disconnect from a network to keep the content of your text private. In an online PDF editor your privacy might be compromised compleately and you will discover this only and eventually later.
Some of these operations are easy and some are fraught with peril that may work for easy cases and fail miserably for complex pages. It was not clear from the question if you require an automated process or just techniques that can be done occasionally by hand for simple documents. PCs, Macs and Linux have different built in tools that can handle .pdf images.
In the same way that light can be considered as both wave and/or particles a .pdf file can be considered as both pixels and/or vectors. Under the covers a .pdf file contains "the postscript language instructions required to make a page Image".
Sometimes those instructions are "Show this included .jpg image" and sometimes include text with a font size, placement and shape.
.pdf files can be very complex containing overlapping images and text at the same time as well as simultaneous text in multiple languages, hyperlinks, forms buttons and field validations. The correct automatic conversion of these complex files into Word and back can be tricky but if you are just after the "image of the pages" here is what you can do with the tools included in most systems.
Ignoring all the complexity here is the quick and dirty way based on the ability of Macs and PC to print a document and save it as a .pdf page image file. This function is built into the Mac printer driver or can be added for free on a PC using a pdf generating printer driver eg https://www.geckoandfly.com/3934/create-pdf-setting-up-and-reinstall-virtual-adobe-pdf-printer-driver-for-free/
1) & 2)
Use the print function on your mac or PC to "print as pdf" into a separate file each page of the pdf document. Drag and drop to place the pages you require into a Word document as images, scale as required. Print the word document which now contains just the page images you require. Note: Word file may become very large.
3) See 1&2
4) Use the "Save as" function of word then select the pdf file format. Your version of Word may vary or use "print to a file in pdf format" described in 1&2.
The above works because a pdf file can be treated as a series of images. If you need intelligent conversion of content select, cut&paste may get you some of the way.
Often there is no substitute for buying some software that does the proper job.
