Working with various reinforcements, nano- and micro-fillers, I have followed with interest your question.

Firstly, it comes out that PTFE is a lot used for the realization of seals, whereas it needs additional reinforcing especially for the improving of mechanical properties.

According to some suppliers, we can find FDA compliant PTFE seals reinforced with carbon fibers, carbon/graphite, aromatic polyesters, etc. (source: PTFE Seals Design Guide - Parker Hannifin).

Function of the requirements of your application, I’m pretty sure that you will find via internet tools the right information.
