What are you using for the AMR field? Since you are talking about droplet simulation, I would assume you are running with interFoam and using alpha as the field for AMR.

@Achuth Nair Balachandran Nair. Yes you are right. I am applying mesh refinement to the alpha field, and I am running interIsoFoam. My droplet size is 0.65 and my domain width is a factor to that 4D and 10D. It is working for 4D and not for 10D. I am wondering why is that.

What is the min and max alpha level you have set? Also, have you checked if the unrefinelevel and maxrefinelevels are set properly? Generally, changing the domain size should not affect the AMR.
