The mega high-rise building is the token of the financial and economical advances of modern cities and allow more sustainable development with bigger volumes but smaller footprints. But they suffered long cumulative construction cycle and more possible carbon embodied as well. Also, if yuo consult the trade magazine called Metal Buildings and there's also one called Metal Construction and Aluminum Construction. Going through the right sources you can get a free subscription to each and they feature these sorts of industrial designs. Also Industrial Design, which is a design journal that focuses a large part on industry, but also on the structure of skyscrapers. There's also a website that focuses only on skyscrapers, I wish I could say the name of it but it has slipped my mind, its runs on Facebook so the keyword will help... Also one more resource that I know is called Inhabitat, its a website and magazine, and you have to do a search on it for the industrial designs. This focuses mainly on green design for it's structures.
