I wish to be able to identify fertile egg from non fertile egg. If i have two unknown samples believed to be samples of fertile yolk and non fertile yolk, Is there any chemical analysis that can be done to identify which of my samples is fertile yolk or otherwise. Thank you.

Me and prof of the poultry department, d-r Stefce Presilski read your question very well, and I can give some nice suggestion due to your question :
Here we have some practice, only by using temperature method in which you need to take example 10 eggs and put on the permanent temperature (on the temperature of 37,5 0 C) in the period of 7 days. After this period, you need to make ovoscopy (candling), and you will see red spider network into the fertile eggs.....best wishes

Candling at 7 days requires some skill and is well possible in white eggs but not easy in brown ones. Very early embryonic mortality is also not picked up, so it depends on your question whether this is feasible.
Collecting eggs from hens with and without cocks being present, might be another way to circumvent the chemical analysis.

Collecting eggs method also is nice but depend of the technology of poultry breeding and keeping........also we do not know nothing about the aims and goals of the author Adeyemi, in which ambiental condition ......??????

Thank you so much for your contributions. Im actually thinking i may be able to pick the little difference in fertile and non-fertile egg from chemical analysis even prior to incubation! I actually do candle from day 5 incubation and can really know which is fertile or not with great percentage of accuracy. Thank you once again.
I am really curious to learn what molecule you are determining to detect this difference!
I know that in late embryonic development many metabolites care formed but as yet I am not aware of any molecule produced by or present in the fertilized egg as opposed to the unfertilized one.
