In many fish culture farm, sometimes we face water changes by means of pH, temperature, mineral contents that lead to several diseases and consequent economic losses. Is there any biological methods or any equipment that can concurrently detect water changes and response to this and balance the water. Directly I'm looking for articles and unfortunately I couldn't find any paper.
For each parameters, you have to use separate equipment. For pH, you can use pH meter; for disslved oxygen, you can use oxymeter; and for temperature thermometer.
If you are interested in salmon in particular, I would suggest contacting one of Alaska's many salmon hatcheries directly. I think that the best literature on this theme is two books of Claude E.Boyd "Water quality managment for pond fish culture". They contain very useful and clear explainations.You'll find many answers to your questions.
Dear colleagues, Thanks for all your useful answers. But the thing that I'm searching for is a bioandicator of water, I mean useful microorganism (bacteria or yeast) that can alarm water changes or can respond to unwanted water condition. I look forward to hear more.
The fish face with different water extremes that each of them influences on fish physiology and health status.Many of water characteristics are changeable during a daytime or season(pH,Temperature,O2 et cet.).I am not sure that one bacteria or yeast will give you the clear and difinite indications.

Of course, it's important to know epidemiology of diseases that mostly occur in summer (I mean part of the year that cold water fishes most infected)with specific changes in mineral or dissolved oxygen range and then try to find a microorganism that can't tolerate these specific extreme changes and respond to it by color change in water or produce some materials and stabilize water. It seems that need to more investigation.
