I have problem regarding Arabidopsis growth?Its F2 population taking approx 1year for complete its life cycle.......instead of 4-5 months........So tell me solution to early completion of its life cycle .so that i Can collect seeds for growing its next generation to perform my experiments.I had already increase light and temperatue but not significant diifference has been seen in flowering and bolting and seeding.

In Arabidopsis, the floral transition is promoted by exposure to low temperatures (vernalization) and growth under long-day (LD) conditions; by contrast, growth under short-day (SD) conditions delays the initiation of flowering (Ref. Plant Cell. Jul 2003; 15(7): 1552–1562).

In different labs we went from seed to seed in 3 months using long day conditions, 16h light and appr 21 degrees. To speed up you could use continuous light. To really tweek things, you could stress the plants, this should induce early flowering.High light stress is mostly used for that, but it didn't work for me. Alternative, pick the first siliques that start to turn yellow for growing the next generation instead of waiting for the complete plant to dry, ie ripen.

Do not increase light or temperature too much because plants may die due to stress. Optimum light is 100-150 micro mole photons/m-2 s-1 and temperature is 23-24 deg C for Arabidopsis seed collection. For early flowering we give long day photoperiod (16h light/8h dark). You have to care about soil and nutrient media also.

Arabidopsis requires vernalization, if not all. So, vernalize the seeds at 4oC for 3-4 weeks, then grow under longer photoperiod as mentioned (16 h) and under slightly high temperatures to speed up the development. Remember the delay in flowering clear indicates that they need low temperature treatment to initiate flowering transition.
At ideal conditions, common wild ecotypes do not give such problems often. Since other methods have been tried out, inducing a slight stress with altered humidity may lead to quick switching to reproductive stage.
I used to grow Arabidopsis under constant light conditions (no dark period) and got the fastest life cycle. The basal rosette will be small with fewer leaves, but you will get flowers and seeds in around 2 months.What Ravi proposes as vernalization is actually stratification, and it is used to improve germination, but not flowering.
I agree with Wan-Feng Li, what type of arabidopsis are you growing? It looks like you normally grow then in short day (4-5 months to complete!), so the comments above apply. As people have suggested, cold, drought, long day and in general stress (each affecting different flowering signalling pathways) stimulate flowering.
I work with high light and I haven't noticed a significant onset of flowering. However, I suggest you try to grow the plants in plates with 1/2 Murashige-Skoog agar in long day. The combination of stress and long day can promote flowering within 3 weeks in some arabidopsis. Anyway, I would wonder why your seeds take this long to complete, since it looks like a phenotype associated to the gene/s that is/are affected in your F2.

sir it is normal col-0 hybrid and its F2 population takes time may be due to one of the parent show delay flowering and col-0 show early flowering.It may be genetic interation due to new combination and gene interactions?????
So finally should i increse the light and temp?but it may affect or die the plants.........
Far-red is very good for inducing flowering, even in FRI containing accession.

A year is very a lot! Probably you need to change the photoperiod. If I want to have plants in vegeative stage (like producing leafes forever, although eventually they flower) I keep them in short day conditions (8h light/16h dark; SD). When I want plants to complete their life cycle in 3 months, I use long day photoperios (16h light/8h dark; LD).
Probably you just have to change the photoperiod. If you do even not turn of the lights today, it may flower in few days. Which fotoperiod do you use, SD or LD?
I had same problem, I solved it by keeping plants under continuous light condition (24h) in my condition plants were ready with the seeds after 2 months, do not use light intensities more than 100 µE, best is 50-80 µE. attention: this plants are under light stress so use it only for seed propagation, the seed yeild will be lower in comparision to long day condition
