Worldwide, one of the two mega energy consumers is heating/cooling of indoor space (the other is mobility). Climate change may lead to less heating in colder areas and to more air conditioning in warmer ones. In my current place of residence heating needs may decline (but have not yet). Maybe someone has made the global sums.

As examples, warming has already caused a change in the distribution of fish species: species with boreal affinity have disappeared from catches on the north shore, while species with tropical affinity that had existed only on the shore south are increasingly present in catches on the north shore.

It is general perception that northern hemisphere countries will be benefited and southern hemisphere will loose. But many things are still uncertain and we can speculate on the basis of common man perceiving burns from current rate of cyclones, irrational rainfall pattern, seasonal changes calendar is mismatching and also duration also change specially winter and autumn. wild plants and animals are best indicators to show that there i some effect already started only needed to quantify and make strategy to counter it.

There is an advantage we stand to gain from climate change. For example organisms that thrive in areas with high temperature will have positive effect, while those that thrive in cold climate will have negative effect. So for those organisms that love heat or high temperature there will be explosive growth and reproduction. For example mangrove distribution is mainly influenced by temperature so during climate change there will be intense growth, expansion in population and migration to warm areas. Their expansion will increase their ecosystem services to man and the environment. In conclusion, there will be a ripple effect to other organisms globally.
