Bonding of mother and child is a normal biological phenomenon. It is seen among almost every species of animal.
Bonding of child with father is a gift of human civilization.
Among the nearer species of Homo sapience (chimpanzee, apes etc.), no fatherly feeling is seen.
Instead, the male head of the harem generally want to kill the male offspring of the group just after their birth to cut the root of future competition.
It is the probable explanation.

I agree Because the mother is more present with the children than father despite her working out side the home. Also that God put in mother more tenderness than the father ... There is no mother leave her children .. This instinct ..
Yes. because mother child bonding starts before birth and is well established at birth. The 2 have long established a bond by the time the father comes onto the picture

I do not think so. It depends the parents character and the child too who is more comfortable with the child. In my case I am more with my dad than mom.
