Is there any advantage on using RPMI vs MACS for tissue preservation?

I am currently working on exosome isolation from human plasma (Lung Cancer Patient). The tissue could be preserved on RPMI media or MACS.

Is there any significant difference in the downstream experiments that can be performed on the samples depending on what preservative is chosen?
