Today it seems to be questionable if autism should be classified as mental illness, but a state of personality "on the threshold" which needs special care and diagnostics, especially if there exists noticeable suffering of the respective person, or the problems of living together require special therapeutic help. The appearance of autism is multiform, but the relation between personality and the social environment always is touched.
I think there are great measures by paramedical in minimizing its effect. But total eradication? We are not yet there. I hope our scientific expedition takes us there soon.
