Hello,

The primary reason might associated with the high copper content in this alloy. Aluminum alloy 2024 is a high-strength heat-treatable alloy. However, its composition, specifically the presence of copper (around 3.8-4.9%), can lead to challenges during brazing.

Copper has a significantly higher melting point and thermal conduction compared to aluminum, and its presence can result in the formation of undesirable intermetallic compounds during the brazing process.
