After extensive research on IR thermography, the laser flash thermography seems to be the most popular and accepted method to calculate thermal diffusivity.
However, I have come across papers where the thermal diffusivity is obtained by various methods. One such method is the Thermographic Reconstruction Method proposed by Shepard.
Inspite of using the TSR method for diffusivity measurements for Aluminium/Titanium, my diffusivity value is off by a factor of 10 (when compared with standard values obtained from material datasheets).
Is anyone able to advice? I want to use reflection mode+1000 watt halogen lamps.
