I have three proteins and I want to find out do they share same transcription factors are not?
I do not know which transcription factors may bind with them and even transcription factor binding sites (TFBSs) are also not known. I tried to tail down the answer through different available tools including INSECT, JASPER, DBD but no tool has answered question.
Is there any tool which can predict Transcription Factors of given proteins (Transcription Factor Binding Sites is of less priority) and also describe whether given proteins may share similar Transcription Factors?
You are asking for something that really does not exist. Databases can scan sequences and look for predicted sites, but that does not mean they are responsive to such factors. You can also ask for co-regulatory gene sets, but much of that depends on the cells or tissue of interest. If databases had all the answers we would not need to do experiments.
Many thanks for your answers. I think GTRD database would work for my case. I will scan all the relative Transcription Factors for my genes of interest at their respective binding sites. I will then compare them first for any common putative transcription factors that would be analyzed experimentally. Many thanks for your guidance and such a quick and nice response.
