This book is helpful because it includes 508 solved problems. In addition, it gives access to 25 detailed videos that introduce topics in statistics. Basically, this is a self-help book with great merit for those who want to review the subject and who want to see how to work through elementary problems.
"Beautiful, but dangerous" is a very useful article by Robert Mathews that appeared in Significance Magazine, June 2016. Basically, it says that the normal distribution curve is beautiful, but dangerous. The Cauchy distribution curve can be a better model, due to its thicker tail. I suggest that we should start deemphasizing the normal curve in our college classes. Do you agree or not?
