I'm embarking on research to conduct species distribution modelling in future climate scenarios but I'm unsure of which GCM to use . Is there any article/paper I could read to further understand the pros/cons of different GCMs to be able to decide on which GCM to use? I will be modelling different species which ranges across the tropics across the different continents. Any recommendation will be much appreciated. Thank you!

In this field, I recommend you search some bibliography about this topic from Blas Benito.
You could apply several models to compare the results. This will give you an approximation to choose the best option for your research.

There are diferentes models, but must be considered the geografical zones and social and economic development.
AFAIK none of the GCMs accounts for the measured increase in water vapor. The measured increase in WV is more than is possible from feedback (temperature increase).
