I have a question and i'm glad that someone help me on it.
Is there any approach for extracting gossypol from cottonseed flour (not cottonseed meal or crude oil) ? Apart from chromatography. a simple and cheap method

You can use the extraction procedure for gossypol from cottonseed meal and react it colormetrically. See attached article;

Thanku but i think content if gossypol in cottonseed meal ( because of detoxification process) is not sutuble for extraction and i can buy gossypol from sigma instead.
I wana know if there is any extraction process on seed flour ( because i know it's rich of gossypol and extraction is econamical). All the patents that i search just explain the extraction on cottonseed meal and oil.

You cannot have a selective extraction on vegetal raw material because several other components may be extracted together with the compound of interest and a further purification step is required.
