Is there a qualification that would allow someone with a PhD in clinical psychology (by research) to supplement their research with practitioner and placement training that would raise their level of training to equivalent of a DClinpsych (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology), thereby conferring eligibility for HCPC registration as a clinical psychologist?
It would make sense for there to be a route to allow researchers to also practise, but I cannot identify one for the UK.

As far as I am aware there is no accelerated route for those with a research doctorate. I trained with people who already had a research doctorate - they still had to do the same three year doctorate for clinical practice. The only thing it might accelerate would be time from applying to the course to getting on the course - if you already have doctoral level research skills you would probably get more points on your application, however you would still need to demonstrate broad clinical experience. it might be different for the counselling psychology route - but probably not.
Thanks, Emily, that's the conclusion I was coming to based on information posted by the HCPC and BPS, but could not find somebody who could give me a definite answer for this. I'm just examining options, and wondered if there might be something I had missed.
The paradigms or models should be banned from the fields of senior researchers’ investigations. Their research routes, for various reasons, should be done in an interdisciplinary way and transdisciplinary in the fields of doctoral knowledge, and, not abide fixedly focused on its theme of PhD specialization (always knowing more every time of fewer issues), but, following methods of observation and verification, of intuitions and of inductions, and, not of paradigms` deductions, of theoretical models or of traditional historical conceptions of such knowledges.
