I would like to winsorize outliers SPSS instead of trimming them. Therefore I am looking for an article that introduces to the method of winsorizing.
Thank you for your time!
Vijendra, S. and Shivani, P., 2014. Robust Outlier Detection Technique in Data Mining: A Univariate Approach. arXiv preprint arXiv:1406.5074.
Rather than winsorizing or trimming I would suggest a more modern approach using robust regression. A very simple introduction is attached, Best, David Booth
AFAIK, SPSS still does not have a (native) implementation of robust regression. See this Tech Note, for example:
HTH.
I am searching for an article that discusses different approaches in dealing with outliers (survey data). Could anyone recommend a particular one? Thank you for your time!
