Dear peers,

I have a technical question about monitoring tumor bone metastasis. We want to establish a tumor model of bone metastasis and monitor the metastatic procedure. I am aware that IVIS allows researchers to visualize the tumor cells expressing luciferase. However, when the tumor cells start to migrate to other sites, the primary tumor would be large, which releases a much stronger signal that can block the signal from the metastatic site. So, I wonder if there are any alternative approaches to monitor/detect the micro-metastasis instead of IVIS.

Many thanks.
