Hello fellows, I'm a Ph.D student studying martensite/bainite crystallography, there has been a question troubling me for some time.

We know that for FCC/BCC K-S relationship, variant1 and variant2 share a twin relationship, with a misorientation of 60°, but V1&V3, V1&V5 are also nearly twin related.

Further, V1/V2/V3V5 also belong to the same CP group in K-S relationship, therefore the two variant pairs can not be distinguished by (110) pole figure.

Here is a instance:

Fig.1 is the IPF of a variant pair.

Fig.2 is the (100) and (110) pole figure of corresponding to Fig.1.

So the highlighted yellow and red grains, are they V1/V3 or V1/V2?

Looking forward for your comments and suggestions.
