I am looking for a low-cost catheter that can be connected to a pressure transducer Gould-Statham-P23DB for measurement of pulmonary artery pressure in Wistar rats. Can anyone help me?
Dear Karla, with our Biopac transducer we connect polyethylene tube (catheter) to a cut needle and we connect this system directly to the Biopac pressure transducer. Obvioulsy we also shape the extremity of the catheter to facilitate PAP measurement in rat heart. It is really sheap and convenient. Sincerely. Aurélien
Thanks for your valuable answer. I consulted Biopac Systems to acquire the Biopac module to this work but they send me a total price around U$ 22.000. Biopac is really amazing but I am doing this study with my own resources. No funds is available. So, to a brazilian researcher is a great amount of money!
