We are planning to use a fuzzy logic control (FLC). The control law is of the form
m = f(r).
f() is to be realized by FLC.
The value of r varies from 0 to 100, We are using 5 triangular mf for the input variable r centered at 10, 30, 50, 70, 90.
The rule base is obtained by actual experiment That is we conduct experiment
for r= 10, 30, 50, 70, 90 and find the corresponding m.
We are able to find m with one decimal place precision. Typical values of the controller output is given below
r: 10 30 50 70 90
m: 12.1 15.1 25.9 32.5 41.6
My question is how many membership function has to be used for the output variable. I think to preserve the information we should use 100 membership function
