I have found on my test MK-801 at dose 0.06mg/kg increase freezing compare to vehicle group of mice...Just wondering of getting opposite results...How I can interpret this result?
Based on your test results, it appears that administering MK-801 at a dose of 0.06mg/kg increased freezing behavior in mice compared to the vehicle group. Freezing behavior is a commonly used measure of fear and anxiety-related behavior in rodents, so an increase in freezing behavior could suggest that MK-801 is having an anxiogenic effect.
It's important to note that research findings can sometimes be unexpected or even opposite to what was hypothesized. In this case, there could be several reasons for the unexpected result. For example, it could be that the dose of MK-801 you used was higher than the optimal dose for eliciting a decrease in freezing behavior. Alternatively, it could be that there are other factors at play that are influencing the response to MK-801, such as individual differences in the mice or environmental factors.
When interpreting unexpected results, it's important to consider the limitations of the study design and the potential confounding factors that may be influencing the results. It's also important to replicate the findings and conduct further experiments to confirm the result and understand the mechanisms underlying the observed effects.
