I am searching for a dataset of epididymis weights in different mammalian species. Is someone aware of a study group that already published a compilation of this measurement, e.g. for correlation studies in the evolutionary context?
thanks for your quick answer and offer. Yes, that would be interesting for me. May I ask where do these measurements come from? Is this a compilation of data from other studies or did you or your institute perform the measurements? Are they published?
I'd prefer to just respond to you by plain old e-mail, but I suppose I should learn the ins and outs of Researchgate. In any event, through my patented Rodent Sperm Analysis (RSA) method (any chance you've heard of it?), I have collected about 7 or 8 small rodent species from around the U.S. (as I go about comparing sperm features (such as count and motility) between contaminated sites and habitat-matched (clean) reference locations. As part of our efforts, we compute organ-to-body weight ratios for liver, spleen, and . . . epididymides! I could put together a table for you for the data I have.
thanks for your reply. Sorry, but I would like to do a correlation with another parameter and this other parameter is not known for this particular species. So, unfortunately, I can not use your data.
