If we decide the type of treatment plant then, as per the flow diagram we can decide the area of treatment plant. If you increase the depth of water area will be reduced.Then construction cost shall be reduced. If we reduce the Retention time the structural requirement shall be reduced and so the size of the plant shall decided and so cost shall be arrived.
