Cobalt might not show such significant improvements and safety profile to the fishes. Since the use of cobalt in the animal feed and its utilisation is depend on the synthesising capacity of the host, for instance horses and rabbits effectively utilise the cobalt than fish. Consequently, there is no necessity for cobalt supplementation of feed for other animals especially in fish feed.
Nutritional requirements for cobalt in fish feeds are very low and so it can not exert notable effect on fish unless it suffered a serious deficiency which is a very rare case. Therefore, very few information about this topic could be found in the literature.
I have not come across any of such. Cobalt is mainly used by the fish in the form of cyanocobalamin, methylcobalamine and adenosylcobalamine. Methylcobalamine and Adenosylcobalamine are coenzymes used in leucine metabolism and Krebs cycle. Vit B 12 deficiency appears only after long periods of deprivation, causing pernicious anaemia in fish. However it is rare as Vit B12 is provided by intestinal flora as well. So Providing the nano form of Cobalt which is rarely deficient to the fish doesnt make much sense
