Cheerfulness is the result of loving us ones to others as Jesus loved to his apostols and friends, his brothers. Making this the joy will be complete. This is related in the Gospel book of St. John, in the last chapters.
It is probably so but you know as well as I that to love a person is not an easy thing.
To be in love is another thing.
The love of Jesus to his brothers has the characteristic of the unity in the Eucharistic sacrament of all of them. The love to other which is out of the communion it is more difficult. To be in love could be in any of these situations, and consequently it may be easy or difficult.
When the giving in a relationship is one-sided then it is more easy to find it really hard to love your brother. Love is no simple thing and it takes a long inner journey and much pain to really experience Christ's love, no shortcut here.
The Christian love is of ones to others, it is reciprocal, it is the commandment of Jesus. But if the love is not reciprocal, at least one is not practicing the commandment, is there communion?
In the old testament, it is shown what it happened when an only (anathema) person does not accomplish the commandments. The bad things occur to Israel, for only one sinner.
It is better to have a God who loves you and asks you to love than any other idol who can not love you or asks you to do any thing without love. The love is the biggest.

A true Christian is just a human being - unique like anybody else -, subject to feelings of fear for the future that contains one's own death. We who have learned that the life does not end with death but are not sure if we end up in paradise, our love may equal fear of hell. I understand that these words are harsch but if this is not accurate why would someone like to scare us to convert to christianity to escape hell?

How many bibles of those are Catholic? When Jesus told of the Church, he called to Simon Peter (the first Pope) and over him Jesus will build his (unique) Church.
In the Catholic Church you will have fidelity to the words of Jesus, and the successor of Simon Peter, the Pope Francis. And the power of the hell will not destroy it.
I do not know, that is why I put them all. To my limited human understanding it should not be so that in one room or in one mansion in the heaven we have a different Bible or actually why not. The true genuine love that christians are to show to one another is indeed an everlasting balm that soots inner and outer pain while rekindling the genetic tissues that makes one cheerful.
Indeed, when you demonstrate untainted love to others by putting their needs ahead of yours, helping them carry their burden and shoulder the responsibilities that weighs them down, psychologically, your mind is put at rest. The joy that outbursts is natural, knowing that you have filled a void and improved upon the state of life of another person.
More cheerful would the shower of true love be when s/he expects no reward for doing so, especially, from the receiver. Also, the joy becomes very abundant if the love is shown to undeserving ones. The spiritual blessings from God and man is evident and factual. The greatest demonstration of love is teaching someone to come to know the truth in God's/Allah's word, helping the person to lead a good moral life full of virtuous accomplishments. The words at Acts 20:35 is true that the one showing love will gain the most happiness whether it is being appreciated by the receiver(s) or not.

Sincere cheerfulness can be done in the Catholic Church, the unique church that Jesus founded for the men.
I would say yes because the joy we find cannot be found in objects. The joy we find is eternal in the fact that it cannot be destroyed. Intangible objects cannot be taken away. If we can find peace, comfort, and joy in the eternal beings (Jesus, the Holy Ghost/Spirit, and our Father in Heaven) then we have something that can never be taken away and it can always be trusted and it will never leave. If we don't want it, we just have to walk away and shut the door. We may find personal satisfaction and gratification through objects and others after that but it may not last long. We live in a fallen world and nothing is meant to last. Only the spirit does and the realm in which the angels and our eternal family lives.
Cheerfulness comes from the eternal salvation that Jesus' disciples have seen with their own eyes: his glorious resurrection as Jesus promissed.
Cheer is fruit of fidelity of love of Jesus to all of us, and of receiving well his promises for our part.
You do not make me cheerful when you are so dogmatic. I do not feel the love I expect based on what you are writing about Christian cheerfulness. Is it so that because Martin Luther married the nun Catharina von Bora, we do not rejoice in the same Lord?

I did not have expressed any dogma in my words. So, your free interpretation is not correct. But with the sacrament of marriage one and the spouse can be cheerful before God, and I think that the Martin's marriage was not sacrament in the Church that Jesus founded.

The source of Christian cheerfulness is the resurrection of Jesus, this is the end to which he invites us. This cannot have other similarity in other religions historically well documented. The faith in Jesus does not come from a book but in his own life, the miracles were done in his presence accompanied with his words and experimented for many persons.
I think the Holy Spirit living in the Christian is the source of joy (Galatians 5:22).
