I don't think that Neutron capture cross section dependent on spin direction of the neutron, that is because Energy determines the capture cross section.

But in one case Spin direction can be change, because of paulis exclusion principle , after neutron get capture by the nucleus , 2 or more neutrons cannot be in same quantum state.

I really wish that someone would have investigated this experimentally. I far as I remember me nuclear physics lessons, there are rather empirical models available and no one really knows how the system really works. Experiments please! Thanks for the answer anyway ;)

Absolutely right , without experiment and clear evidence things looks like only a theoretical assumptions.

- we indeed cannot exclude this dependence, as that follows from the Shevchenko-Tokarevsky’s Planck scale initial model of Nuclear Force https://www.researchgate.net/publication/369357747_The_informational_model_-Nuclear_Force;

- and, since practically for sure Gravity, Electric, and Nuclear Forces act by the same scheme, that seems can be experimentally tested – see the linked paper, section “Conclusion”, proposed experiment with a cloud of polarized electrons.
