I would like to start my research on multiple sclerosis soon, but I failed to find the right cell line for the job so far. I'm looking for a specific line called N9 microglia (mouse).
Alternatively I might use the human cell line HMC3, available from ATCC. However I'm not sure if this cell line expresses the CB2 receptor nor if it is possible to activate it into an activated (or "M2") state.. Any leads to papers are more than welcome as I'm still navigating between ideas as to how to setup my experiment most wisely.

So you are looking for in vitro options, yes? Most of my experience is in in vivo work. I would check out google scholar and pubmed for cell lines used in that research. From there you should be able to find companies that provide these cell lines and worst case you can contact technicians associated with company for all your questions about their products. Have done so myself and it is very helpful!!!!
I found the cells in the end :) via via we got them sent! Starting experiments soon
