I am working on a kind of composite material in which expanded perlite particles are as the second phase. There are some references in the same area working on ceramic hollow spheres or microspheres, ceramic foam spheres, glass foam particles, etc. All of these materials have the similar chemical composition and in some cases the similar structure. But, there is not any name of Expanded Perlite in these references. Now, I am afraid of the novelty of my work.
