With a CHNS/O analyser the Total Carbon (TC) is measured, which includes the Total Organic Carbon (TOC) and Total Inorganic Carbon (TIC). To determine TOC you should therefore subtract the TIC from the TC.

To calculate TIC you would have to digest the sample with an acid and calculate the proportion of the lost sample mass. The difference in TOC results between both methods would therefore lie on this sample preparation.
