will it be possible to see the outcome of a validation study or at least a comparison of the results of your method with the accepted ones? Is there any information on quantifying the selectivity towards the mostly interfering compounds?

Unfortunately only preliminary researches, here is one more many other are in preparation and/or consideration, but the outcomes are relatively limited. Previous for caffeine was relatively good, with some perspectives for re usability and repeatability was OK, but this for proteins was nor very good, but some sensitivity and some selectivity was observed for few analysis, form more details read this article:

all international organizations dealing with quality standards request a validation of any newly developed analytical method. The minimum requirements are that the performance of this suggested new method must be presented to inform the potential user on its merits. Thus, the ISO/IEC 17025 5.4.5.3 international quality standard demands the following: “The range and accuracy of the values obtainable from validated methods (e.g the uncertainty of the results, detection limit, selectivity of the method, linearity, limit of repeatability and/or reproducibility, robustness against external influences and/or cross –sensitivity against interference from the matrix of the sample/test object), as assessed for the intended use, shall be relevant to the customers’needs.”

I could – up to now – not also with your presented papers - in general see - such a demanded validation of novel analysis methods based on the specificity of MIP’s in real world samples with convincing performance criteria. A a former member of a IUPAC body I could suggest reading: Pure Appl. Chem., Vol. 74, No. 5, pp. 835–855, 2002; “HARMONIZED GUIDELINES FOR SINGLELABORATORY VALIDATION OF METHODS OF ANALYSIS”
