The publisher of this journal "Science Publishing Group" is included in the list of predatory publishers (https://beallslist.net). Some reputable journals of internal medicine can be found in the following URL:
You are right this journal (http://www.sciencepublishinggroup.com/journal/index?journalid=252) is not indexed in the SCIE of Clarivate so it has no impact factor (use this link to check https://mjl.clarivate.com/home ) and is not indexed in Scopus (https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri?zone=TopNavBar&origin=searchbasic ) and is not indexed in PubMed. Besides the big warning sign as mentioned by Mohammed O. Al-Amr , there are more red flags:
-Their indexing page mentions a lot of the notorious misleading metrics like DRJI, Universal Impact Factor and Eurasian Scientific Journal Index (see also https://beallslist.net/misleading-metrics/ )
-They charge 970 USD for a basically non-indexed journal this is way too high
-Contact info still mentions US address while it is already well-known, they are from Pakistan (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Science_Publishing_Group ). Why hide this you might wonder…
Dear Zahra Khalaf , although I did not find this journal on some lists of predatory journals (https://predatoryjournals.com/journals/ or https://web.archive.org/web/20170111172309/https://scholarlyoa.com/individual-journals/), many facts make me suspect it may be predatory.
So I agree with Mohammed O. Al-Amr and Rob Keller .
Better look for another journal to submit your research.
About your question, some "good medical research indexing for journals" include (this list is not exhaustive):
- Web of Science (https://mjl.clarivate.com/home)
- Pubmed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/)
- Scopus (https://www.scopus.com/sources.uri)
- Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA: https://oaspa.org/)
- Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE: https://publicationethics.org/)
- Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ: https://doaj.org/)
Thank you all for your help and input. I appreciate the answers and information provided. I needed confirmation about the journal's Pubmed indexing status and impact factors as well as the general picture and that was provided. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Dear Marius Baguma keep in mind that when the publisher is mentioned in the Beall's list of (potential) predatory publishers like Mohammed O. Al-Amr indicated (https://beallslist.net/ ) then by definition all their journals are suspect.
On the website https://beallslist.net/ it states: "All journals published by a predatory publisher are potentially predatory unless stated otherwise."
In fact, this journal is one of the so-called "predatory" journals, with little scientific interest and impact, and high "economic" interest, with high publication fees.
It continues to send out invitations on a regular basis.
If you have doubts about the impact of a journal, the most reliable index is still JCR.
I was invited by Am.J.Int.Med to publish a text on the DELPHI study of expert attitudes to the iplementation of eHealth and telemedicine in the Czech healthcare system. They were not even against me translating an article published in a Czech professional periodical for publication in A.J.Int.Med. That aroused suspicion in me ...
