I am doing mosquito larvicidal activity against different concentrations of temephos to determine the resistance status in the field population. During the larval bioassay, I have been noticed that few mosquito larvae were formed to pupae and those pupae were live even at higher concentrations of temephos.
Please any one share is temephos has pupicidal activity or not. If not, why ?

the pupae have probably developed resistance vs temephos which is often observed due to its worldwide excessive use in agriculture. Hence to increase effectiveness of temephos, combined use with with the mosquitocidal activity of Fusarium oxysporum (extract) should be successful. Studies showed that after 24 h of exposure, the combination of temephos + F. oxysporum extract (1:1) was highly toxic to both mosquito larvae (LC50: ~ 20.000 - 50.000 μg/ml) and pupae (LC50: 26.000 - 72.000 μg/ml).

I am surprised, How come pupa developed resistance to temephos and not the larva? So it seems, there is a state-specific resistance is present in the same mosquito.
