I'm researching and writing a paper about isolating antimicrobial components from the leaves of Nymphaea nouchali to treat respiratory diseases caused by S. aureus.

I’ve tried Solid-Liquid and Liquid-Liquid extraction on tea leaves before, but i've never performed Soxhlet extraction, though I’ve read from "Natural Products Isolation" that it is one of the commonly and conveniently used methods for extracting plant metabolites. However I’m not sure which technique is better for isolating antimicrobial components.

Thank you!
