0.5-1 mM (singlet oxygen generating) chloramine in blood is tolerable to human hemostasis but it kills lipid-enveloped viruses.

Viral particles in contrast to fungi or bacteria do not contain to the human body extremely strange molecules, such as ß-1-3-D-glucans or lipipolysaccharides (endotoxins). The genetic material of lysed viruses would rather be degraded by RNA-or DNA-destroying enzymes.
