I agree with Prof. Nihada. RG is a multi-faceted platform though mostly academic, has social aspects that are helpful to many of the our colleagues here. We are a family of hardworking researchers who aside from the academic collaborations, we discuss socially beneficial issues.

It is a Scientific network. We interact to scientists researcher etc.
Social network for researchers to showcase their works publications (research items), interact with other members in personal level to share ideas in a discussion.
RG is supposed to be a network for researchers to share their work and to answer questions from others. I have seen it degrade to a social network due to some members carrying on a verbal assault and severe insulting including name calling on other members. If members confine themselves to research topics and act in a civil manner to other members RG should be able to reclaim its status that it is not just merely another social medium.
