Indeed, this means that Iraqi scientists particularly those of University of Mosul are deceived or cheated by this journal which having fake impact factor. On the other side, this journal is opposite to the requirements of Iraqi Minstery of Higher Education and Scientific Research as the title of this Journal not specialized for any specific topic such as mathematics, educational or so on which have a wide spectrum of all topics which may be for trading purpose.

Exactly my dear Prof, this journal is not specialized in a branch of research, so how can we put together electric engineering, computer sciences, physics etc alongside with the medical, dental and biological sciences.

The problem is that this journal is the only or we can say the easiest one to publish in for those scientists due to the high costs and requirements by other respected journals, therefore, the MOHE&SR must work on to gain access with well known journals, help scientists to publish by paying the fees of publication, and the least thing to do is to build up detailed webpages for the Iraqi universities and provide each member of staff with an academic or institutional official email, so they can communicate with respected international universities and journals, not just asking the scientists to publish their work with no support at all. I hope and pray that both research and publishing move on in the future for all Iraqi universities especially Mosul University.

It is a valid. There are several university lecturers in Iraq who obtained the scientific promotion through publishing by it

This is by itself a sign for caution but not enough. However there are additional red flags for the journal “International Journal of Enhanced Research in Science Technology and Engineering (IJERSTE)”:

-They claim a connection to Thomson Reuters, an attempt to mislead researcher to think their impact factor is valid. Since the impact factor linked to Web of Science was originally produced by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) and used to be the Intellectual Property and Science business of Thomson Reuters (currently maintained by Clarivate Analytics). However they talk about a Thomson Reuters Researcher ID which has nothing to do with credentials for a journal but is a service for individual researchers.

-All claims about impact factors are false (a ridiculous claim for an IMPACT FACTOR : 6.754 is false and fully unverifiable). Even the indexing in Index Copernicus (that by many researchers is already a questionable indexing service) is false (claimed IC value is false):

So altogether this journal (and the publisher behind it) is unfortunately too much filled with misleading information that has nothing to do with serious and genuine scientific publishing so I would say this one should be avoided.
