No, it's not possible. More precisely, the destruction of a particle doesn't have anything to do with it being in a superposition. The answer to the second question is that the question doesn't make sense as posed.

It's useful to have a specific example, for instance an electron. The space of states of its spin is the Bloch sphere, the sphere S^2. Any point on that sphere describes a state of the spin of the electron, the two poles of the sphere describe the eigenstates of the operator s_z.

If so, are superposition states always infinitely probabilistic or is this specific to quantum computation? I ask this because I have often seen superposition defined as "a state that contains two opposite states at the same time." Is this a summarized definition? Are there actually infinite possibilities?
