Yes, the plant-based formulation is relatively safer to the environment when used for pest control because plant-origin products have no or less impact on the beneficial and are relatively more degradable than synthetic ingredients and thus have less impact on the envoronment
Yes they are absolutely safer to use for pest control as they have no or relatively very less impact on the environment and tend to degrade much easier and faster as compared to their synthetic counterparts. For eg, if we take a simple example of avoiding ants in sugar we add clove pods which are very effective and have no impact on the health of individual and also their is no concern of deadly impact on the pest population as they act as pest for stored commodities but they also act as pollinators. So besides saving the plant/host commodity they also safegaurd the insect population
We should follow our ancient literature and Indian Indigenous Technology (ITK) for safe pest management. Not only that, for our safe health management medicinal plants should be used, having no side effect.
Yes.. plant based insecticides are safer to humans and environment ..to avoid residual problems in food and regards to safety purpose of non Target organisms they are important tool in pest management
Plant Based Formulations are much safer then other chemicals that are used as the residual effect of these chemicals are mush higher than plant based formulations. That means the residual effects of those chemicals would effect in another way ultimately.
In a general way, plant-based are safest for both human health and the agricultural system. but we know very well about site-specific and host-specific micro biopesticides toward its control efficiency and importance in IPM systems. Both are important in their approaches.
