PC ORD and SPSS , CANACO is statistical software mainly used for advanced ecology analysis. Does anyone know which one of these is a good user friendly reasonable cost ecological software for advanced community ecology analysis.
It really depends on your question, CANOCO is very user friendly. However, R is probably the best tool for advanced community ecology analysis as it has the widest range of analytic methods and is free. That said, it helps to have some programming experience to get the most out of it.

You might consider PRIMER for multivariate community analysis. It includes extensive examples and discussion f the pros and cons for different alternative methods. The cost for those at educational institutions is reasonable.
I would agree with Martyn. If this is your calling in life, then R is your best and least expensive option. That said, R is difficult to learn even if you have a good background in computer programming. In any case, you might consider what others around you use (Faculty, Staff, Students). What program can you get help with? If your only help in R is through the internet and you have no programming experience, then I might choose a different path. If you are uncertain, then try some of the online courses in programming R. Corsera, Edx, CodeSchool, and others offer free courses. Often they start with "here is how to install R." If these are easy, then life is wonderful.
If you have no experience with softwares, consider use PAST to understand and learn about analysis. This software is very useful and easy. It is based on the principal authors such Legendre, ter braak and others. But graphic output is weak! R is the most powerful to ecological analyses and as Timothy says, have many online courses, many of them interactive courses. I suggest DataCamp and Coursera or blogs such as R bloggers and various models of analysis such PCA, RDA, Cluster...
